Thank you for the long form tutorial. So many things to pick up that don't always make it into the shorter videos. Has to be hard to narrate and paint in extended form for a video, but I appreciate it!

New to the hobby and just found your video on contrast vs traditional acrylic paints. I plan to work on historicals but the video was fantastic for any genre. This is the FIRST video I found that was upfront and honest about the flaws in contrast paints and especially for a beginner like me. I was about to commit resources into contrast but fortunately watched this first. It answered so many questions. I guess I fell for the hype. Less do from GW by now and much more from the contrast fan boys/gals. The funny thing is that you are right. None of them are beginners and the ones on RUclips who are starting with contrast-express paints are almost crying on camera and want to quit. Good on you and I plan to look at more videos you have. Any updates on this topic or other videos of this nature are very welcomed.

I know it hella goes against the rules of Battletech but COME ON, a Tyranid-like race of giant dinosaur-bugs (Bio-mechs) would go hard asf. They could be an alien element without going full-on star trek. Only thing is they'd have to be trapped on a planet, otherwise any believability would go out the window.

Probably worth mentioning on the point of the metal; Cleaning these guys is so easy, minimal flash and mold lines. I actually find that 99.9.99% of the time with Infinity sculpts, if there's a gap then *you're* the issue. They seem to fit so well that any gaps can be measured in microns....And that's not a joke. Corvus Belli are to minis what Audi is to Germany, engineered to perfection.

I'm normally averse to universal highlights or universal shadow colors. However, it can be a great tool for display figures. Thank you for the video ❤

PLayed 40k and Warhammer Fantasy ages ago, Got sick and tired fo GW bringing iout a new version of the gamne very 5 years a forcing you to buy a new army book to play. I had 4 armies in 40k and over the years I played must have about 4 different army books for the Space Marines. SAme with the Tau, Tryanids and Necorns. And the prices!! They charge £40 for TEN plastic Space MArines when you can buy 24 Napoleonic Infantry for £30!! So GW are a rip off company. Simple as that.

Another wargame that I would recommend is a wargame named "Quar". Not only the minis are funny looking but great, the game is amazing, has solid rules and gameplay, but especially its story is awesome and super interesting. And while it's a kinda new game and currently there's only two factions (with more to come this year), in my personal opinion, not only is far better than 40k, AoS, Kill team and on, but the company is great and super friendly and encourages you to kitbash and use even some models from other games for big weapons and transports. The game is from Wargames Atlantic, if you're curious to try it out, or look in youtube for videos of it so you know what's up. Son instead of supporting GW, support this game and company! Much better game!

I didn't boycott GW per se, but have turned to other far better and superior wargames. Not only are they more enjoyable but cheaper, plus the communities are awesome. I mean, the only GW game I'm into is MESBG which is GW only good wargame with solid rules and community. Besides that... No thank you. There are better games out there like CMON's A Song of Ice and Fire, Star Wars Legions, Bolt Action, and Quar. There are more, but those are the ones I play.

To answer your question, I love your infinity content. from opening boxes, showing painting schemes, or talking about the lore or how to paint stuff. not a lot of infinity content creators out there and it's great to watch someone who loves the game

One RUclips video you could do is explain your services. What happens when some contacts you, what will you ask them about their commission. What problems have you / people had with commission process, solutions. Best way to package minis to send to you, how minis package to come back to them. Know issues with received or sent packaged minis. For colour scheme service, what questions do you need them to think about to get better outcome. Examples always good. Also TableTop to High TableTop standard, what are the differences.

I built up a box of Troopers and Mercenaries II. I have some older Wizkids Sith to use as some Mystics. And I'm planning on getting some Cultist equivalents to use as Fatewinders.

Heyo!!! I'm happy to hear about all of your projects, and I'm excited to see what which of those really take off for you🙂 You asked for YT feedback, and here it is! My impression of your channel is "talented painter who is willing to feature games and miniatures from smaller (aka non-GW) companies" IMO that's an awesome reputation to have! Obviously the smaller games have smaller in-built audiences... but those smaller audiences really appreciate what you do. As one example, I wouldn't have heard about Enviro Games if it wasn't for your channel, and I think they have some ideas that we should all be talking about more. There are tons of little companies out there that are worthy of more exposure than the youtube game gives them, and it's cool that you've spent so much time featuring them on your channel. From a "is it worth my while to make these videos" standpoint, you'll make better friends and allies in the niche from featuring the underdogs on your channel. You should feel proud of your impact and contributions to the media landscape of this industry- If you do a search for some of these smaller games, TMS is often one of the top results, and that's pretty dang cool! :-)

As some who is starting to do RUclips (mini painting), and possibly twitch these are my worries. Of course I have know plans of pro painting, I like painting everything but I want to paint what I want. However it a slow process painting on camera, I can paint 10 minis in the time I make one video.

@Mr.Shy, I originally started watching your channel after your video for Stargrave minis. I wanted to see them assembled and an unbiased opinion of the diversity in the options included in the box. I watched almost a dozen videos from other contributors and you're the only one that actually tried to make as many variations as possible out of that box. I was hooked, although I have been slacking in my RUclips viewing I still love your work. Congratulations on the Wyrd commissions, I've been keeping an eye on your posts on Facebook too. I'm excited for these new creations that you're putting out. As long as you continue presenting the stuff that others don't I'll probably keep watching. Specifically I just mean products that are not as popular. Wyrd, Osprey games, infinity etc... Also btw Wyrd makes a rpg that uses card mechanics called "Through the Breach". Cheers!

I like the opinion vids, and the reviews of games, its refreshing to watch non GW games. Looking at those less known games is always interesting as well.

First, you absolutely deserve attention from Wyrd or othet clients. I love the style of your painting and mostly the colour schemes you choose. I started watching because of the tutorial (which are extremely clear) but enjoyed afterwards mostly Videos linked to Infinity. I would love to watch new Videos of tutorial, product reviews but mostly suggestion about different Paint schemes .

If you are making a mini game using cards, and you want standardized measurements that need a widget….could you use the sides of cards as measurements? That way you really only need one thing to play. To answer your question: I engage with RUclips weirdly. It’s entertainment while I do other things. So I tend to like vlogs or reviews because I can listen while doing other things. I really like to follow along with passion projects though. Like people diving into Turnip28 or other weird games.

Awesome video. Wishing you all the success with future stuff outside3 of RUclips. My 2 cents on RUclips is trust your metric. Your personality is definitely the biggest draw for me. You are a personable and genuine guy (and I'm sure you won't remember, but I've met you at UKGE in person and that still comes across). My advice is that you are obviously financially successful outside of RUclips so with your channel do what you enjoy, algorithm be damned.

I will let you into a secret... I haven't really watched any of your videos since you've changed your name, I still enjoyed the that Mr shy videos and would look out for them however, Tesseract miniature Studios is kind of meaningless and quite frankly I kind of just skipped them as soon as I saw them because it was like who's that... alright... I've got this other thing to watch forgetting you the same person as the guy I used to watch... On the bright side I've got 9 months of videos to watch...

Its wonderful to see you again Stu! Left the cesspool that was Twitter and so seeing you again here has been really really lovely. In regards to RUclips, have you considered shorts/Reels? They should be less time consuming and effort consuming and those tend to get more eyes as they are really short videos?

What originally brought me to your channel was Infinity, and what kept me around was your enthusiasm for the game and its miniatures. As long as you can keep that enthusiasm for the stuff you're looking at or talking about, I think it's all worth watching.

You do you, or it will hurt you and the channel. I usually find videos that are 10-15 minutes easiest to consume in one sitting and I am very forgiving with quality. It is harder to find time for 15+ minutes so that is probably why I expect more quality with those. I am not very interested in assembly and priming unless they are different. Kitbashing and colourful priming that is used as a part of the painting is fun though. The last, maybe because I am trying treat the priming as a first layer that gets to shine through a bit. Fun for me is to watch a better painter (then me) paint minis. We all know GW but I have lately been looking more for OPR. Other game minis are fine but I like fantasy and scifi the most. Infinity, Fallout, random 3d print is fine with me. More "pure painting" or "tutorial" does not really matter. Other hobby related projects are also fun from time to time.

Castle Falkenstein was the first RPG that used cards instead of dice. Freebooter's Fate is a pirate skirmish game using it's own set of cards. I watch your videos and subscribed because of your personality. If you're excited about something, your exitement is affecting me. So product reviews and your opinion on that product might be a way to go. Just one idea. If you'll do something different and fun, I'll probably watch and like it.

I'm a new sub (I think), I went searching for more long form content on the toob akin to Twitch streams, ala James Wappel-Monument Hobbies, so your most recent re-ups got spat back, if things are busy more of that suits me fine, glad things are on the up&up, you clearly deserve it 👍

FWIW, I enjoy the talking head stuff, I enjoy opinion pieces, but if GW isn't your jam then maybe talk about the games that interest you, what shine a light on some of the cool shit that's out there like the battletech series that you did. I enjoy watching a painting video if it isn't *the* best at teaching me if I can vibe with what's being said and maybe pick up a few things. I certainly watch painting tutorials videos that make a lot less sense and I get a lot less out of than the videos you do.

Posting while still viewing the video, but maybe you should consider doing livestreaming sessions instead, to produce some "content" anyway, even if they would be just recordings to drop on RUclips without much editing at all? Sergio Calvo does several hours streams, when he paints for 4-5h and then only interacts during last hour of the stream or so.
